ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently seeking experienced Coded Welders to join our execution team for residential and FIFO roles out of Perth for ongoing work at several sites across the Karratha, Port Hedland, Karratha & Pilbara WA. The role will be working alongside industry leaders, performing new installation's, major componentry change outs in a fast-paced environment with a mixture of project & shutdown work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Able to interpret drawings to be able to fabricate and assemble components.
- Can confidently use industry standard fabrication tools and equipment.
Able to work both within a team environment as well as autonomously where required.
Ensuring that safe work practices are always adhered to as well as all DGE and client policies and procedures.
Pre-requisites:
- Minimum 2 years mining experience in similar role.
- Previous experience in 3G/4G MMAW / FCAW.
- Australian Recognized Trade Certificate.
- Current Welding Qualifications.
- Current and valid Driver’s Licence.
- Permanent Resident within Western Australia.
Must be able to pass a full pre-employment medical including regular drug and alcohol screenings.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in 6G MMAW / FCAW
- Current and valid licenses (Working at Heights, Confined Space, High Risk EWP).
- Current and valid client inductions (RTIO, Roy Hill, BHP and FMG).
- Previous exposure with shutdown services or provider.
- Understanding of mining operations, plant and equipment.
- Flexibility to work different schedules to meet operational requirements
- Previous experience associated with a Tier One Mining Organization will be highly regarded.
