As part of the Queensland Department of Education, the Office of Industrial Relations (OIR) improves work health and safety in Queensland and helps to reduce the risk of workers being killed or injured on the job, as well as developing and enforcing standards for electrical safety in Queensland, regulating workers? compensation, and supporting improved productivity and fairness in Queensland workplaces. The Psychological Health Unit is a specialised health and safety team within OIR that delivers national and state priorities aimed at addressing psychological harm and injury at work.
