We are looking for a Technical Services Engineer to join our team. This is a permanent position, working Monday- Friday. The preferred location for this role is Brisbane. Alternatively, a Sydney location may be an option. Role location will be considered during candidate selection. The Technical Services Engineer provides technical intelligence, expert opinion and in-depth analysis of airframe, engine, and systems architecture across the Toll Aviation aircraft fleet. Working within the airworthiness management team and dynamically collaborating with the maintenance engineering team, this role collates, reviews and analysis identified aircraft occurrences, then delivers centralised, effective and efficient internal and external communication to ensure aircraft technical outcomes complement airworthiness management activities. Joining a collaborative and close-knit team committed to delivering excellence, you will be working alongside the operational and maintenance teams providing knowledge and leadership to meet our online obligations for our customers whilst maintaining cost efficiency and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities ? The duties and responsibilities of the Technical Services Engineer include the following:
Provide technical assessment and input to Leonardo, P&WC, and other manufacture's SBs and TBs as required
Analysis aeronautical product improvements as presented by varying OEMs, providing internal recommendations with focus on fleet enhancement, product obsolescence and operational benefits
Acts as liaison between airframe/engine manufacturers and Toll Aviation for all engineering queries/requirements and provide specialist technical support to the engineering team
Maintain technical oversight of major repairs and their associate technical data, ensuring that fleet applicable is maintained and controlled
Assist with the coordination of aircraft modifications to meet operational requirements while leading technical projects that have a positive impact on reliability and availability
Contribute towards scheduled aircraft airworthiness reviews and aircraft quality assurance checks, draft reports and provide actions on identified occurrence
Assist with the investigation of aircraft defects and any reporting of major defects to CASA
Skills & Experience ?
To be considered for this role, you will ideally hold an Aircraft Engineer Trade Qualification (or equivalent) along with a CASR Part 66 Licence with B1 and/or B2 with a AW139 and/or B412 type rating
Detailed knowledge of CASA regulatory requirements & processes as they pertain to the company Maintenance Control Manual, the relevant aircraft System of Maintenance and legislative framework for aircraft maintenance activities
Solid LAME experience within the aviation industry
Regulatory understanding of airworthiness management and maintenance control processes
Advanced technical, analytical, and critical thinking skills with proven attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders
Experience managing a variety of projects through to completion
Problem solver and critical thinker looking to apply innovative solutions to improve operations
Ability to translate complex processes into simple written instructions or visual representations
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Analytical thinker with the ability to make sound fact-based decisions
