Looking for:
We are a well-established restaurant seeking an experienced chef to help us create delicious and innovative dishes for our guests. As a chef, you will be responsible for managing the kitchen, ensuring that the food is prepared to the highest standards, and maintaining a clean and organized working environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Creating new menu items that showcase your culinary expertise.
• Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
• Estimate food and labour costs, and manage food supply orders to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Overseeing kitchen staff and ensuring quality and consistency in all dishes.
• Oversee the quality of dishes from preparation to presentation, ensuring consistency and excellence.
• Demonstrate cooking techniques and offer guidance on food preparation procedures.
• Collaborating with front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless dining experience for our guests.
• Organising and assisting in the preparation and production of dishes to the highest possible standard and maintain punctuality to service requirements.
• Assist in maintaining a minimal food cost by storing food items correctly and preparing only the portions required.
• Play a key role in selecting and training new staff members.
• Adhering to all food safety protocols and regulations.

Skills & Attributes:
• Certificate 4 in commercial cookery or relevant qualification in culinary arts or related field is preferred.
• Minimum 1-2 years’ experience is required.
• Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Job Type:
• This is a permanent full-time job.

Salary:
• The salary will be $75,000 - $85,000 + Superannuation.

Working Hours:
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
