- Paint, maintain and repair painted, wall-covered, stained and varnished surfaces of building structures, rooms, furniture and equipment throughout the hotel and facilities.
- Prepare and paint surfaces using techniques and tools including, but not limited to, measuring surfaces, mixing paint, matching paint and using brushes, rollers and spray-guns.
- Install and repair covered wall and ceiling surfaces.
- Maintain and repair caulked, grouted, wood and masonry surfaces requiring staining, varnishing and lacquering.
- Liaise with individual departments and the Senior Duty Technician in relation to work requirements.
- Plan and prioritise jobs to ensure deadlines are met.
- Completion of set daily tasks.
- Liaise with the Housekeeping Manager/Senior Duty Technician or designate to ensure that all equipment is maintained and in good working order.
- Carry out maintenance requirements and follow up as scheduled by the Hotels’ Property Management System (PMS).
- Record all tasks performed, both complete and incomplete.
- Primarily perform tasks relevant to experience and trade, and any other tasks as required or requested by Management and Supervisors.
