We are a Cypress Sawmill located in Mungallala in Western Queensland; we have a long term Queensland Forestry Lease to harvest Cypress saw log from the western Queensland Region. We pride ourselves to operate in a sustainable manner with working with a great renewable recourse.
The Role
Role Located in Mungallala QLD 4467 120km West of Roma. 610KM West of Brisbane.
Remote Location - Require Relocation for Role.
Looking for motivated people with an interest to join the Timber Industry.
• Full time Work
• Working on consistent flow of timber from green chain
• Stacking timber into packs for distribution, involves pushing, pulling & lifting
• Operating strapping tools to strap packs of timber.
• Cleaning bark and timber residue from around mill
• Working in dirty conditions
• Working in an open building, exposed to Hot and Cold conditions
• Bending, Twisting, Pushing, Pulling & Lifting
Requirements for the role
• Relocating within a commutable distance of the sawmill.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment conducting repetitive tasks
• Possess a hard working attitude and the ability to communicate and interact with people at all levels
• Basic understanding of measurements, need to stack timber in correct sizes and lengths.
• Have a good eye for quality.
• Ability to work to a high Standard of OHS policies and procedures.
• Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol test
5 Positions Available for Immediate start.
General Work week 38 Hrs, Monday - Thursday - 7am -4pm
Friday - 7am - 1pm
Timber Industry Award Paid at Applicably Trained Rates. New Employees start Level 1 until further Training / Experience has been proved or provided.
General Labourer's required for Fulltime ASAP start May 23.
Job has Potential to train into other roles including, Operating of sawmilling Equipment, Docker, Benchmen, Twin Edger Operator ETC after adequate training Provided.
