They are seeking a skilled and motivated Business Intelligence / Data Analyst to join their Data Analytics team in head office team in Lawson, NSW.
The Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and deploying business critical reports, managing the SQL database and cubes required for the BI tool, enhancing the data warehouse, preparing adhoc company reports and analysis, coordinating with various departments, and preparing technical and functional specification documents.
It is for a full time role with an annual salary of $87,000 + Superannuation.
The Responsibilities:
Develop and deploy business critical reports: Create and implement reports that provide valuable insights into key performance indicators, trends, and other relevant business metrics.
Manage the SQL database and cubes for the BI tool: Maintain and optimize the database infrastructure to ensure data integrity and efficient data retrieval for the BI platform.
Enhance the data warehouse: Continuously improve the data warehouse architecture and design to accommodate new data sources and ensure scalability and performance.
Prepare ad hoc company reports and analysis: Respond to immediate data analysis requests from various departments and stakeholders to support decision-making processes.
Coordinate with various departments: Collaborate with front-end business users, middle office, operations, and systems specialists to gather requirements, understand business needs, and ensure alignment with data analytics initiatives.
Prepare technical and functional specification documents: Document the requirements, design, and implementation details of BI solutions for reference and future enhancements.
Conduct complex applications development and front-end development: Work on developing and implementing sophisticated analytical applications and user interfaces for data visualization and reporting.
Solve problems related to data analysis: Tackle challenges in data processing, cleaning, and transformation to derive meaningful insights and support business objectives.
Utilize statistical analysis and data mining techniques: Apply relevant statistical methods to uncover patterns, correlations, and trends within large datasets, contributing to better decision-making processes.
Meet reporting deadlines and deliver high-quality outputs: Manage time effectively to ensure timely delivery of reports and analyses that meet the organization's standards for accuracy and relevance.
The Requirements:
Be degree qualified in a related field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or Business Analytics.
At least 7 years experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a similar.
At least 7 years experience in SQL and working with databases and data
At least 7 years experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.
