Liquip Victoria –Victoria’s specialist Road Tanker equipment installer and parts distributor. We’re also an industry leader in the design and supply of bulk fuel storage tanks, dispensing and transfer solutions. We are seeking an experienced welder fabricator to join our team.
Tasks & Duties:
• Read drawings, job sheets and production schedules to determine product or job instructions and specifications
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal using gas shielded metal arc
• Examine work for defects, and measure with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications
• Set up and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade such as shielded metal arc and gas metal
arc welding equipment, grinders and carbon rod gauging
• Detect faulty operation of equipment and/or defective materials or products and notify supervisor
Skills and experience
• Trade qualifications in welding / boiler making (or equivalent experience)
• Physically fit with good hearing, vision, good coordination and manual dexterity
• Flexible and cooperative team attitude
Salary (Range) : $90,000 - $95,000 per annum.
