We have exciting opportunities for Heavy Diesel Mechanics. Most of the work will be carried out in Port Hedland, WA
Specifically the role is accountable for:
- To carry out repairs, service and maintenance to equipment in accordance with standard work procedures and manufacturers specifications.
- Compliance with all Company Policies, Standards, Procedures, and SWP’s.
- Assist management in achieving the ZERO INJURIES goal.
- Ensuring that work area, tools and equipment are in a clean and tidy condition and not interfering with or misusing protective equipment, personal or mechanical, that has been provided or installed for the purpose of Health and Safety.
- Carrying out any other activities directed by your workshop leading hand/manager which are within your competence.
- Active participation in training and development activities and transfer of skills to the job.
- Reporting any incident, accident, near miss, environmental, or machine damage to your workshop leading hand/ manager.
Job Specification:
- Trade Certificate or equivalent appropriate to trade for which employed.
- Literacy Skills – able to understand basic written and oral instructions.
- Communication – able to communicate with other members of the work team orally and in writing.
- Site Requirements – Must be willing to obey site rules including alcohol and drug policy.
- Safety Attitude – will follow safe work practices and contribute to safety on site.
- Work Ethic – Must display an enthusiastic work ethic, good attendance and be self motivated.
- Physical Capability – Must be capable of working day and night shifts in extreme temperature conditions.
- Experience – experience in a mining setting would be preferable, but not mandatory.
