The Data and Business Insights Analyst is responsible for gathering, analysing, and interpreting data to provide actionable insights that drive business decisions and growth at Carma. This role will work alongside various stakeholders and departments including buying, operations, sales, technology and marketing to support data-driven decision making across the organisation.
HOW YOU’LL DO IT
- Gather, analyse and interpret internal and external data and create insightful, actionable reports to support business decisions
- Input as a key stakeholder into the data management strategy and contribute to building consolidated, curated, reusable and fit-for-purpose data assets for the business
- Interact with our engineering team to leverage Carma Data Platform in Snowflake and build reusable data assets using best practice engineering techniques (source control, DBT, automatic deployment and data pipelines).
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics
- Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide data-driven recommendations
- Perform ad-hoc analyses to support various business needs
- Present findings and insights to senior management and stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy by implementing best practices for data collection, storage, and analysis
- Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in data analytics and business intelligence tools
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst or in a similar analytical role
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into actionable insights
- Excellent proficiency in data analysis and visualisation tools including Excel, Power BI or similar
- Strong SQL and database knowledge and experience
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- You are a team player with an ability to develop and sustain strong relationships with stakeholders across the business and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- You are results driven with a continuous improvement mindset
- Experience in automotive or e-commerce industries preferred, but not essential
- An undergraduate degree in data, statistics, mathematics, business or a related field
This is a full time position based in Alexandria Sydney, with flexibility for hybrid working (2 days from home per week).
