To increase our workshop output and continue to grow, Victorian Trailers Pty Ltd requires a number of experienced industrial / mechanic fitters for Monday to Friday role (minimum 38 hours per week) with overtime and Saturday shifts available. This position suits a mechanically-minded person that comes up with on the spot solutions to ensure the safe and effective running of the business.
Your main responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Demonstrated knowledge in the use and care of technical equipment and power tools
• Assembling trailer parts to its mechanical specifications
• Wiring trailer lights
• Fitting cages to trailers
• Fitting hubs and wheels to trailers
• Bleeding brakes
• Grinding, bending, cutting material to design and specifications
• Loading and unloading trucks
• Some heavy lifting involve
• Planning, organising and prioritising your daily tasks
• Awareness of occupational hazards and application of appropriate control measures
• Comply with work health and safety (WHS) requirements at all times
• Reporting to the production supervisor
• Occasional trouble shooting and fault repairs
• Clean and maintain a safe and tidy work station
Essential:
• Industrial and Mechanical Fitting qualification (Certificate 3 of Engineering - Mechanical Trade or equivalent)
• MUST demonstrate industrial and mechanical fitting knowledge and experience (2 years and more)
• Ability to work in a team or independently, unsupervised and with a professional attitude
• Quality focused with a good eye for details
• Thorough understanding and compliance with OH&S in the work place
• MUST be available for an immediate start
• Physical fitness for manual work
• Great work ethic
In return we offer a full-time salary of $65,000 - $75,000 plus Superannuation.
