Role:
The CNC Machinist / CAM Programmer is responsible for the programming, set-up and operation of the CNC machinery.
- Program, set up and operate CNC Lathes/Mills per drawings, document packs or instruction
- Mentor junior workshop personnel and apprentices
- Prepare for the job including verifying raw material and verifying job sheets in accordance with the technical drawings
- Ensure machines are operating well and producing quality products
- Measurement and inspection of the finished product to ensure it meets specification
- Tooling management
- Verify Measuring Equipment
- Housekeeping in and around the CNC machine
