Waters Abrasive Blasting Services are seeking experienced PAINTING TRADES PERSON to carry out industrial application and coating activities for WABS on both yard and site jobs in and around Townsville.
Duties of the role include:
Have painting experience and complete in-house training module.
Complete and submit all Quality Assurance certificates.
Clean and prepare work surfaces
Prepare paint
Apply paint in the manner as directed by your supervisor
Advise management of paint needing to be purchased
Oversee work in progress and completion of jobs
Comply with WABS Code of Conduct.
Understand surface preparation and finishes.
Be able to understand and complete works to specifications.
Be able to mix to correct ratio two-part paint coatings etc.
Select paints, varnishes and stains to various surfaces using brushes, sprays, and rollers.
Understand the use of Wet Film Thickness Gauges and be able to achieve specified dry film thickness.
Be able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
Erecting scaffolding and ladders.
Cleaning equipment and work areas.
