McElligotts is in need of experienced ROPE ACCESS TECHNICIAN to work on projects in Queensland, New South Wales, Tasmania and Victoria.
The role includes but is not limited to:
Responsible for carrying out standard rope access operations to perform inspection, maintenance, repairs and other industrial work while on ropes
Implement appropriate standards of safety and quality control in Rope Access activities
Implement testing where required/ requested
Operate equipment such as pneumatic drills, telehandler, light vehicle and service trucks
Responsible for all Rope Access activities and personnel under supervision
Ensure all Rope Access equipment is maintained and complies with the companies’ safety procedures
The successful applicant will ideally have:
Trade qualified (IRATA Certification)
A positive attitude towards safety, training & environment
Working at Heights and Confined Spaces (essential)
Heavy Rigid Drivers Licence (desirable)
Elevated Work Platform (desirable)
Pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol assessment
Desirable traits and will highly be regarded:
Be physically fit
Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
Strong communication skills
Excellent reporting skills
Self-motivated, organised, punctual and reliable
Must have great work ethics
