With rapid expansion in SEQH, we're seeking highly skilled Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanics to join our team at our Hemmant Workshop. You will need to be a Trade Qualified Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to be successful in this position.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Reporting to the Workshop Manager and Depot Manager, you'll play a crucial role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining company vehicles and equipment. Your responsibilities include fault diagnosis, routine maintenance, and adhering to safety protocols.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle components
• Performing routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake inspections, and fluid checks
• Conducting thorough inspections to identify any potential issues or malfunctions
• Using diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical problems
• Adhering to safety protocols and ensuring all work is performed to industry standards
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
• 3 years experience as a Diesel Mechanic
• Certification III in Heavy Machine Mechanic or Diesel Fitter
• Strong technical skills and knowledge of diesel engine systems and components
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• MC driver license (advantage)
