Commercial Finance Partner Location Toowong Purpose of the Role The Commercial Finance Partner supports Business Leaders across Divisions to drive key performance delivery and execution of strategic initiatives. Key Responsibilities 1. Provide financial support to the business with recommendations on commercial constructs, business cases, and models for new divisional initiatives. 2. Deliver financial and managerial reports, including production, analysis, and actioning of monthly management, operational, and Board reporting. 3. Contribute to business packs and materials to prepare and inform business cases. 4. Identify performance opportunities through data analysis and provide insights to Directors and leadership teams. 5. Support planning and reforecasting processes, ensuring adequate rigour and challenge for Divisions. 6. Execute process improvements within the operating rhythm, team, and reporting. 7. Create and update financial models to support business initiatives, focusing on process improvements and commercial insights. 8. Understand financial implications and risks of projects, contracts, and initiatives, and educate stakeholders on these. 9. Liaise with key stakeholders within Support, Corporate Finance, Group Finance, Data Analytics & Insights, and the wider business to ensure the effective delivery of key objectives. People Leadership Responsibilities - Commercial Acumen: Critically analyze performance indicators and processes to improve commercial outcomes. - Manage Complexity: Collate and interpret data from multiple sources to provide clear actionable insights. - Execution Excellence: Identify optimization opportunities and drive productivity growth. - Develop People: Challenge and coach peers and senior leaders on areas of technical knowledge. - Engage Teams: Communicate the connection between individual actions and company success. - Drive High Performance Culture: Embed transparency, accountability, and integrity in all aspects of performance management. Qualifications and Experience - Formal qualifications in a relevant area and/or CA/CPA accreditation. - 3+ years of experience in a finance role within a comparable organization. - Strong self-awareness and personal effectiveness. Preferred: - Experience with TM1, PowerBI, or similar analytics tools. - Familiarity with the Financial Services industry and knowledge of current and emerging trends.
