Our Company:
We, Manna WA Pty Ltd TA Nagis Ceylon Catering, are a well-known highly popular restaurant in Perth specialising in authentic Sri Lankan cuisines. We're looking for two Chefs who are capable of creating carefully crafted great dishes of authentic Sri Lankan cuisine.
Tasks & responsibilities:
• Examining and selecting food supplies.
• Setting up the kitchen workstations for food preparation and cooking.
• Menu planning and changing periodically as per customer preferences.
• Examining food quality during the stages of preparation to presentation.
• Conferring with managers and kitchen staff on food preparation concerns.
• Training and demonstrating cooking methods and procedures.
• Preparing and cooking food.
• Determining the size of portions
• Training and supervising subordinate staff.
• Calculating labor and food costs.
• Ordering and stock control of food.
• Educating staff on hygiene standards and follow OH&S procedures
• Ensure all food and other items are properly stored and at the right temperature
Requirements:
• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar capacity.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
Salary - $73000 - $80,000 plus Super
