The Opportunity
Tiamo Restaurant is currently seeking an experienced, professional and trade-qualified Chef to join our busy Italian Restaurant in Lygon Street,Melbourne on a Full-Time basis. You will be responsible for the preparation, cooking, delivery, and service of appetising nutritious meals. We are seeking a candidate with excellent communication skills and demonstrated experience developing positive relationships with suppliers, stakeholders, and people from different backgrounds. In conjunction with the Catering Coordinator, you will develop recipes and menu’s and be a supervisor and role model to a small team of food service staff. Other tasks may include:
• Assist in the development of a cleaning schedule.
• Maintain and manage stock levels.
• Unput to the food safety program.
• Ensure all meals produced are of a good visual and nutritional standard.
• Control and monitor wastage levels – adjusting protocol as required.

Hold a relevant Chef qualification
Are a qualified Food Safety Supervisor
Have experience in a commercial kitchen environment; preferably Italian Restaurant
Have experience in menu planning
Qualified to undertake internal Audits.
Have worked with specialised diets, including supplements and texture modified foods (NDDSI)
Have knowledge and experience in OHS compliance within a food services setting
Have full Australian working rights
