This is a fantastic fulltime, permanent position where you will join a great group of people who look forward to welcoming you to their team in Blighty NSW. LLAN Investments is a family owned and operated farm supplying high quality milk and dairy products.
As a dairy cattle farm operator, you will be undertaking a variety of tasks throughout the seasons. This hands-on position will involve operating milking equipment, working as part of a team and maintaining machines for a safe and efficient work environment.
Your Duties will include, but not limited to:
-Milk cows through the use of milking machines
- Work effectively alongside a team of dairy workers and herd managers
-Assess and report on information acquired in the milking shed and herd pens
- Maintain a safe work environment and follow safe work procedures
-Assist in producing high quality milk outcomes across a number of different functions
- Have the ability to work in a team and individually to solve or mitigate problems
- Have a general understanding of AI and pregnancy testing programs and protocols
- Identify and treat common ailments and diseases in a timely manner
The successful applicant will have previous experience in the dairy industry
To be considered for this role, its important you can address the following criteria
- Enthusiastic hard worker with high attention to detail
- One year of relevant work experience in recent years
- Recognized qualifications Certificate I or II in agriculture or Full-time relevant industry experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualification.
- Hold certification in AI and possibly Pregnancy testing
- Ability to work under supervision and demonstrate responsibility
- Knowledge in milking plant and farm equipment
- Full Driver's License
- Willing and able to undergo Q fever testing and vaccination
For the right candidate, the salary package of $65,000 to $75,000 p.a +super +Accommodation+ vehicle is on offer.
