SALARY: $64,000 p.a.
Suhana Butcher and Grocery Shop provides a large selection of fresh Halal meat and groceries catering to Indian, Pakistani, Nepalese, and Bangla communities at competitive prices. They are also a certified butcher in Darwin.
The Retail Supervisor at Suhana Butcher and Grocery Shop will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring the smooth flow of customer service, inventory management, and staff supervision. The primary duties include:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensuring that customers receive prompt service and quality goods and services.
Responding to customer inquiries and complaints about products and services.
Planning and preparing work schedules, assigning staff to specific duties.
Interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating, dismissing, and promoting staff while resolving any staff-related grievances.
Instructing staff on handling difficult and complicated sales procedures.
Examining returned goods and deciding on appropriate actions.
Taking inventory of goods for sale and ordering new stock as needed.
Ensuring that goods are correctly priced, displayed, and in line with safety and security procedures.
Maintaining high standards of service by ensuring safety and security compliance.
REQUIREMENTS:
Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents are encouraged to apply.
Certificate III in a relevant field.
At least 1 year of experience in a similar retail supervisory role.
Strong customer service and communication skills to handle inquiries and complaints effectively.
Ability to plan and prepare work schedules and assign staff duties efficiently.
Experience in interviewing, hiring, training, and managing staff performance.
Inventory management skills, including taking stock, ordering new products, and ensuring correct pricing.
Ability to instruct staff on difficult and complex sales procedures.
Problem-solving skills for managing returned goods and deciding on appropriate actions.
Knowledge of safety and security protocols in a retail environment.
