The Organisation:

The Positions:

We are currently seeking 15 Personal Care Assistants to join our team at Mitchell House Aged Care Home in Morwell , Victoria. Each role will be full-time (38 hours per week), though part-time positions (minimum 30 hours per week) may be considered depending on the candidate's preference.

The anticipated start date for successful candidates will be around November / December 2024.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality personal care, support, and assistance to residents, following care plans under the guidance of senior clinical staff.
Assist residents with activities of daily living in line with individual care plans.
Perform care duties as allocated or delegated by Registered or Enrolled Nurses.
Support meal delivery and refreshments to residents.
Record observations on assessment charts and document residents’ progress in care notes.
Qualifications and Requirements:

A relevant qualification or willingness to undertake on-the-job training.
A genuine interest in working in the aged care sector.
Strong communication skills to interact with a diverse range of people.
Ability to manage a diverse and demanding workload.
Team player mentality with flexibility for shift work, including night shifts and weekends.
A current NDIS Worker Screening Check (Respect will assist successful candidates in obtaining this certification).
All candidates must satisfy the legislative requirements for Aged Care Worker Screening to ensure suitability to work in the aged care industry.

Remuneration:

The applicable hourly rate ranges from $28.67 (unqualified) to $30.11 (Certificate III qualified), plus penalty rates and shift allowances as outlined in our enterprise agreement.
