About the Role (your why)

As the Applications Packaging Team leader, you will lead a team of Application Packagers within the Intelligent Workspace team based across Australia to ensure best practice support methodology is practiced, technical experience leveraged, and customer outcomes are delivered driving highest levels of customer satisfaction. As Applications Packaging Team leader you are expected to manage the day-to-day operations of the assigned resources with minimal direction from their manager. All tasks and assigned calls should be completed within agreed SLAs.

 

Our offices are based in (Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney). We like to bring people together in person when we can, but we are mindful of the benefits of working from home for work/ life balance. We therefore leave it to you and the team you join to figure out what works best!

What you’ll do

At the moment, as Applications Packaging Team leader you will be focused on:

1.       Leading, managing and motivating a high-performance team.

2.       Developing performance metrics and managing to those metrics.

3.       Operational functions

4.       Managing escalations and assignment of appropriate resources for all internal and external stakeholders.

5.       Financial responsibilities.

6.       Work collaboratively across the Datacom Business units to facilitate new business opportunities.

We are a pretty agile company, and are keen to respond to customer, technology and internal stakeholders’ changing requirements and this can mean we evolve in our roles to meet those needs.

What you’ll bring

Required experience:

 • Strong understanding of application packaging standards and process

• Comprehensive understanding of Intelligent Workspace and associated EUC technologies and support processes across an outsourced delivery environment

• Technical competence in modern and traditional management practices

• Application Packaging tools and standards

• 3+ years’ experience managing a team of technical staff

• 5+ years application packaging experience

• Desktop, Laptop and printer troubleshooting

• Troubleshooting software conflicts and performance issues

• Sound experience in the use of an incident management tool

• Basic Experience in the use of a problem management tool
• Strong Leadership with a sense of urgency and a strong drive

• Demonstrate proactive thinking and creativity in driving automation and continuous improvement initiatives

• Excellent delegation skills clearly outlining expectations and accountability

• Ability to interface with all levels of management both internal and external

 

Nice to have:
• Leadership Training & Certifications

• Relevant tertiary qualifications

• ITIL Certifications

• Mac OS knowledge

• Scripting/Automation skills

• Other Intelligent Workspace technologies

• JAMF

• 4+ years troubleshooting and maintaining PCs in a Windows environment

• Past experience in managing complex incidents across multiple delivery units internally and externally

• Past experience in managing teams of technical staff to deliver outcomes across multiple problem cases across a diverse range of technologies
