About the role
Reporting to the Livestock Manager/Feedlot 2IC at Brindley Park, this newly created position will be an integral part of the feedlot leadership team. Brindley Parks current carrying capacity is 17,000 cattle units, with diverse cattle types from long fed Wagyu through to mid fed export cattle and a range of feeding programs. With development approval to double Brindley Parks capacity, future expansions will provide exciting growth opportunities for this role.
Youll love a fast-paced environment and enjoy providing hands-on supervision to the livestock team of 14, including mentoring and coaching senior team members. Youll have broad responsibility for all aspects of day-to-day livestock handling and processing activities along with:
Providing on the job training to staff, competency assessments and competency sign offs
Monitoring work, health & safety standards, ensuring safe work practices are adhered to and that hazards and risks are proactively
