POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for designing aluminium extrusion dies to ensure optimal design for production purposes. The role also involves customer relationships, troubleshooting and problem-solving die failures.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Design solid and hollow dies using CAD. This includes new dies, remake and support tools.
Liaise with customer and production to improve product design to satisfy customer requirements and maximise extrusion performance.
Ensure optimisation, die life, manufacturing cost, and delivery performance are maintained.
Develop and maintain effective communication with customers to support die correction.
Support the application of process improvement techniques to improve processes and productivity. Liaise with production to ensure die performances are met.
Other key accountabilities appropriate to the position as determined by the manager of the role.
