About the Role Mental Health Chaplain provides high quality transformational pastoral care and spiritual support to patients, their families and carers in line with CatholicCare?s Person Centred Approach, Mission, Vision and Values. The Chaplain works inclusively with people of diverse backgrounds, issues and needs, of faith or not, to sustain and empower the individual to enable holistic wellbeing and recovery. The Chaplain is responsible for:
Assessing the religious, spiritual, pastoral and practical needs of patients and their families and providing a Ministry of presence, spiritual guidance, pastoral counselling and grief support
Enabling where appropriate, participation in worship, sacraments and other religious functions in different locations as required for patients and their families and carers
