Are you ready to make a significant impact in a family-owned business with 50 dedicated employees? We are seeking a Production Leading Hand to ensure our operations meet the highest standards in people management, production operations, and safety. This full-time, permanent role is based in the beautiful Mount Gambier, South Australia, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 4:15 pm
Responsibilities:
Regularly inspect logs to ensure they meet quality specifications, including checking sizes and lengths for accuracy.
Collaborate with the manager to set cutting priorities, ensuring order fulfilment, and maximizing recovery.
Ensure proper saw setup for optimal operation, efficiently operate, and troubleshoot sawing machines, and communicate with maintenance staff regarding necessary repairs.
Enforce health and safety in line with WHS policies and procedures.
Manage, train, and guide staff.
