Automation Engineer Job Overview
You will maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize automated container handling equipment and yard systems at a modern terminal. This role focuses on minimizing downtime and ensuring operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance and repairs on Automated systems and terminal equipment.
Calibrate sensors, drives, and actuators on automated equipment.
Use PLC tools for diagnostics and adjustments.
Follow safety protocols and complete all necessary documentation.
Requirements:
Australian electrical license (unrestricted) and current drivers license.
Experience with heavy plant, industrial cranes, or automated manufacturing.
Knowledge of PLCs, AC/DC drives, and communication protocols like Profinet or CAN bus.
Ability to work at heights and handle physical tasks per OH&S guidelines.
