Bad Boy Bakehouse is a wholesale bakery looking for an experienced specialised baker to join the team.
This excellent opportunity will be offered on a Permanent Full-Time basis at 38 hours a week.
The successful candidate must have:
· Excellent English skills
· The right to work in Australia
· Certificate IV in commercial cookery or relevant qualification related to the field
· Minimum of 02 years of work experience in the occupation or related field
· Team management skills
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· In-depth knowledge of specialized baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
· Creative flair for recipe development and innovation.
· Attention to detail and precision in following recipes and instructions.
· Strong organizational and time management skills.
· Familiar with industry best practices
· Proficiency in all aspects of food safety
· Positive communication skills, energy and attitude
Responsibilities include:
· Coordinating the shaping, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning, and cooling of batches of bread, rolls, and pastry items.
· Applying glaze to buns and pastries and decorating cakes with cream and icing.
· Operating machinery to roll and shape dough and cut biscuits.
· Contribute to the creation and refinement of new recipes that align with the bakery's specialty and customer preferences.
· Experiment with ingredient combinations and techniques to innovate and elevate the bakery's product offerings.
· Performing tasks such as kneading, aging, cutting, shaping, and mixing dough and pastry products.
· Perform regular quality checks on baked goods to ensure they meet the bakery's standards for taste, texture, and appearance.
· Supervising the quality of pastry during all phases of preparation and presentation.
· Address any issues promptly to maintain product consistency and customer satisfaction.
· Source and select high-quality ingredients for baking, ensuring consistency and freshness.
· Maintain an organised inventory of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed to avoid shortages.
· Preparing fillings for pastries.
· Monitoring oven temperatures and the appearance of products to determine baking times.
· Verifying the quality of raw materials and measuring ingredients.
· Clarifying and ensuring compliance with hygiene regulations.
· Inspecting equipment and facilities to ensure they meet occupational health and safety standards before starting production runs.
