We are seeking passionate and enthusiastic candidates to commence a Commercial Cookery (Chef) Apprenticeship!
This position offers the opportunity to work under several highly qualified Chefs in a very fast paced industry. The perfect opportunity for hardworking individuals who are eager to commence a rewarding career in cooking and who possess a genuine passion for the culinary arts.
If successful: You will be working either part-time or full-time 15-38 hours per week while studying a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery & upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will be a qualified Chef.
Recent school leavers & Out of Trade apprentices are also encouraged to apply!
Duties may include, but not limited to:
- Assist with the preparation and cooking of high-quality meals for our customers, in accordance with our menu and recipes.
- Learn how to manage the kitchen, including stock control, ordering, and food preparation schedules.
- Adhere to all health and safety standards, including food hygiene and sanitation.
- Work closely with the team to ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standard.
- Learn to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
- Any other tasks requested by the host employer
Applicants will ideally meet the following criteria:
- Have a real passion for food
- Be eligible to complete an apprenticeship
- Demonstrate a great attitude and willingness to work
- Be motivated with a positive attitude
- Be reliable, punctual and able to demonstrate initiative
- Be well presented
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
- Problem solving capabilities
- Work well under pressure and able to demonstrate resilience
