Contracts Administrator needed for QLD based Property Developer Your new company For 10 years, this client has been delivering top-tier construction projects across South-East QLD. Based in their Southport office, they have consistently grown, establishing themselves in the property development, property management, and real estate industry. With recent approvals for several apartment and townhouse projects, they are now looking to expand their site team by hiring an experienced Contract Administrator.
Your new role
As the Contracts Administrator, you will oversee the acquisition of workforce and subcontractor services, as well as financial operations, with a focus on optimising cash flow, maximising profits, managing changes, and handling reporting and administrative tasks. Your responsibilities will include:
Coordinating the accurate documentation of financial activities, including variations, profit projections, and compliance reporting
Efficiently managing the procurement process for subcontractors
Supervising commercial contracts
Facilitate deposit management, including coordination with solicitors/builders, payment arrangements, refunds, and client updates.
What you'll need to succeed To excel in this role, you should have substantial practical experience with property development, commercial or residential construction projects exceeding $10 million. A solid understanding of subcontractor management and extensive knowledge of commercial contracts are essential. Key attributes include:
Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Planning and organising/time management skills.
Ability to work with management on project cost reporting
Relevant qualifications
Analytical mindset and commercial acumen
Understanding of tender processes and construction costs
