Jewel Restaurants group has diversified into upbeat Australian segment with a waterfront establishment, Rose Bay Social, that offers menu that includes a wine and cocktail bar, cafe and all- day brasserie. Guests can experience a mesmerising courtyard to relish drinks and signature dishes in an ultra-modern ambience.
We require 2 x full-time Chefs to lead and complement our kitchen team in Rose Bay NSW. This role is open to Australian citizens and permanent residents. We can consider visa sponsorship for suitable foreign professions. Renumeration will be $74,000 to $80,000 plus superannuation depending on the level of skills and creativity you have to offer.
• Plan and prepare high quality signature items as per the menu and dietary orders
• Make recommendation to the management for designing and revising menu items
• Lead and manage the kitchen team on food production, presentation, and sequencing
• Mentor and monitor kitchen juniors for quality, consistency and maintaining the standards
• Estimate costs for menu items for daily/weekly operations, group booking and events
• Participate in stock control, stock orders, and plan strategies for waste reduction
• Check and order supplies, equipment, fresh produce, and poultry for quality control
• Oversee compliance with regulatory requirements, workplace safety, sanitary and hygiene
• Participate in recruitment, shortlisting and hiring of the kitchen staff
Candidates should hold a diploma or higher qualification in culinary field, and ideally have at least 3 years at level experience. Candidates should be energetic self-starter, be able to lead by example and possess excellent communication and organisation skills.
