Job Description
We are looking for a qualified and experienced cook to work at our restaurant in Bunbury , Watersedge Café and Restaurant..
If you are looking for a position in a restaurant then look no further.
Qualification Required: Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
Experience: At least 2 years’ experience working within a busy kitchen.

The main duties are:
Manage service of food and beverage within the restaurant.
Planning menus in consultation with Chefs and restaurant managers
Maintain a constant focus on always providing excellent customer experiences
Developing the skills and knowledge of your team, as well as the management, support, and guidance to all members of the team.
Ensure clear communication within your department (front house) and with all other departments (kitchen) to create effective working practices.
Planning and organizing special functions
Arranging the purchasing and pricing of goods according to budget and availability.
Maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions.
Ensuring dining facilities comply with health regulations and are clean, functional and of suitable appearance.
Customer and personal services including understanding customer needs, providing good quality of service, and measuring customer satisfaction.
Motivate, develop, and train staff as they work, and choose the best people for the job.
Prepare weekly rosters for the entire kitchen staff.
Provide guidance to staff as need be, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
Encourage and support team members to build trust, respect, and cooperation amongst one another.
Conduct weekly meetings with staff to assess how well they are doing and analyse room for improvements.
Prepare monthly reports on sales and expenditure and submit it to Head Chef.
Communicate with Customers, the public, government bodies, and others in person, in writing, or by telephone or e-mail as necessary.
Handle complaints, settle disputes, resolve conflicts and negotiate with people. Report all conflicts to the Head Chef.
Managing pay and other entitlements like sick and holiday leave.
Manage and supervise orders coming from online delivery services.
Ensure all the orders for delivery meets the utmost standard for repeat business.
Manage and coordinate catering orders in liaison with head chef and the clients.
Create marketing strategies and support the restaurant manager with managing all social media platforms for the restaurant.
Create and promote specials.
