About Piatell Cafe Bar:
Our idea of Piatella was originally envisaged during a family holiday to Europe 2 years before our doors opened on Kingsway in 2012. Walking the narrow, windy streets of Paris, we were met with the freshest pastries and an aroma wafting through the air that has since become familiar; Crepes. Nutella crepes to be precise. One bite and the senses erupted. The ideas began to flow, and as a result, Piatella was born. Greek and Australian food has always been close to our hearts. The name Piatella (Greek word for platter) reflects our passion for food in the portion sizes and the flavour we infuse in every one of our meals. Simply said, we believe all culinary experiences are best shared in a casual, friendly atmosphere. Our globally influenced menu will provide a unique Australian dining experience.
Salary Range: 65,000 AUD to 85,000 AUD per annum
Requirements:
It is mandatory to have more than 2 years of work experience as Chef.
Applicants must have a related qualification.
Duties and responsibilities:
• Create and update the menu, considering seasonal ingredients, customer preferences, and food trends.
• Oversee the preparation and cooking of meals, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
• Manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and delegating tasks to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor the quality of ingredients and dishes, ensuring they meet health and safety standards.
• Order and manage inventory, ensuring that ingredients are stocked and minimizing waste.
• Monitor food costs and work within budget constraints while maintaining quality.
• Ensure that the kitchen adheres to health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Occasionally engage with customers to gather feedback and make adjustments based on their preferences.
• Plan and execute special events, catering, or private dining experiences as needed.
• Stay updated on culinary trends and techniques through workshops, courses, and industry networking.
