Job Title: Facility Manager
Hours: Full-time, 38 hours per week
Salary Range: $65,000- $75,000 per annum
Location: Chardi Kala Farm, Lanitza, NSW - 2460
About Us: Chardi Kala Farm is a thriving agricultural operation situated in the picturesque area of Lanitza, NSW. We are dedicated to sustainable farming practices and the efficient management of our facilities to support our farming activities.
Role Overview: We are seeking a proactive and experienced Facilities Manager to join our team. The Facilities Manager will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of our farm's facilities, ensuring that all aspects of our infrastructure are maintained to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of farm facilities, including barns, storage buildings, equipment sheds, and other infrastructure.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all farm facilities and equipment. Coordinate with contractors and service providers for repairs and upgrades.
• Ensure facilities are operating efficiently to support farm activities, including managing energy use, waste disposal, and overall facility hygiene.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Conduct regular safety inspections and implement necessary improvements.
• Prepare and manage the facilities budget, including forecasting and controlling expenses related to maintenance and facility operations.
• Supervise and train facilities staff, ensuring that all team members are skilled and knowledgeable in their roles.
• Develop and execute long-term plans for facility improvements and upgrades to enhance operational efficiency and support farm growth.
• Manage inventory for facility-related supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and timely procurement.
Qualifications:
• Education: AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2) or equivalent. Alternatively, at least three years of relevant experience in facility management may be considered.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in facility management, preferably in an agricultural or farm setting.
Skills:
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Proficient in facility management software and tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations related to facility management.
