The Role
We are seeking an Accountant to join our Payment Operations team. This role requires a strong understanding of technical accounting principles and the ability to resolve complex accounting issues. The successful candidate will work on a variety of client projects and will be responsible for managing all aspects of their financial needs, including routine management, statutory reporting, and cash flow management. This is a great opportunity for someone who is skilled in stakeholder engagement and enjoys working collaboratively with external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Directly interacting with our clients on a day-to-day basis to ensure we understand their ongoing needs and deliver a first-class service to them in all cases.
Attend to delivering all client dividend / distribution service requirements on a day-to-day basis, including but not limited to setting up CAs, create templates, ensure payments are made on time, issue DRP units etc.
Regularly follow up with your clients on agreed timeframes to ensure all deliverables are meeting service expectations.
Manage sweep payments including international payments.
Assist with ATO reporting lodgement such as QTFN and AIIR. This will include however not limited to running the ATO reports on time through system, check the reports before lodging with ATO and lodge through ATO portal.
Ensure all client billing is timely and captures services both within and out of scope.
Manage or assist with tax statements. This will include however not limited to running the tax statements, cross checking data to make sure this is correct, generate samples etc.
Contribute to business process improvement through review and evaluation of existing Payment procedures and other controls with the objective of identifying the potential opportunities for further improvement.
Identification and management of operational business risk within your team.
Regularly and consistently communicate with all business stakeholders by co-operatively working with other members of the business to ensure wider business priorities are being met.
Demonstrated Capabilities
A relevant Bachelor’s degree or higher; and
At least 2-3 years of experience in relevant position.
Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
