Our Client BRADCO HOLDINGS (QLD) PTY LTD ABN – 19 106 596 734 – Located in Clontarf, QLD is seeking a Full-time Carpenter/Joiner position for between $70,000 - $90,000 a year.
DUTIES:
• Provide a high level of customer service when dealing with general enquires and complaints from both internal and external customers.
• Present a positive image of our company to the public.
• Undertake general labouring duties in the construction.
• Cutting materials and assembling and nailing cut and shaped parts.
• Organizing resources such as timbers and materials to the full construction of building projects
• Undertake general concrete construction projects comprising excavation, bedding, rebar, formwork and concrete placement and finishing to design specification standards, including calculating and providing the resources and materials required for the task.
• Prepare work area in line with working drawings, specifications and coordinate work processes, including set out, levelling in preparation for the construction project.
• Erecting framework and roof framing, laying sub-flooring and floorboards and verifying trueness of structures
• Nailing fascia panels, sheathing roofs, and fitting exterior wall cladding and door and window frames
• Undertake basic pipe laying, including site excavation, joining, bedding in and laying pipes.
• Maintain bridges, including identifying and repairing faults in the structure, applying paint/protective coating, replacing decking panels/timbers in accordance with specifications.
• Ensure that the public and traffic is diverted from the work area safely.
• Carry out any other duties as may be necessary and within your skills, competencies and training.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to communicate across all levels of the business
• Ability to work autonomously, without supervision
• Associated apprenticeship completed
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the same role.
