Key Responsibilities
• Dismantling, removing old padding and materials, re-vamping springs, padding and layers, cutting, assembling and finishing upholstered products according to detailed specifications
• Operating sewing machines, staple guns and other specialist equipment with precision and care
• Selecting and working with a variety of fabrics, leathers, vinlys, foams and other materials to achieve the desired look and comfort; apply trims & braids for final finishing
• Collaborating with customers and the design team to ensure products meet quality and aesthetic standards
• Maintaining a clean and organised work area to support efficient production
• Identifying and troubleshooting any issues that may arise during the upholstery process including removal of stains etc.
Job Requirements
• Minimum 5 years' experience as an Upholsterer, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Strong technical skills in cutting, sewing, stapling and finishing upholstered products
• Ability to read and interpret detailed design specifications and technical drawings
• Eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
• Dexterity and physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team
