Role Overview:
Join our client's dynamic team as a Fitter, responsible for executing a variety of essential tasks including:
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform both workshop and mobile maintenance on rolling stock and various mechanical equipment.
- Carry out pressure testing of equipment used to test lube units when assembled, fault-finding, and diagnostic.
- Perform repairs and rebuilds of rolling stock and various mechanical equipment as required.
- Identify and report any issues with equipment or materials.
- Manufacture Hydraulic hoses using a crip machine.
- Perform equipment isolations as necessary.
- Confidently working on conveyor systems to maintain efficiency and reliability.
- Ensuring adherence to safety procedures and quality standards will be a key part of the role.
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area will also be required.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in completing alignments with proficiency in utilising digital aligning equipment.
- Demonstrated capability in rebuilding fixed plant equipment.
- Proficiency in rebuilding various pumps, including slurry and water pumps.
- Competency in working on conveyor systems.
- Familiarity with maintenance and repair procedures for floatation systems and/or thickener tanks.
- Relevant trade qualifications and certifications. A White Card or equivalent is required, or the candidate must be willing to obtain one.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
