We are currently seeking a QC / Welding Inspector to join our Maintenance Core Crew for ongoing long-term work based across multiple sites in the Pilbara and South-West regions.
The Role
As a QC Inspector you will be responsible for:
Supervising welding processes on site
Performing weld inspections
Assuring site compliance with the relevant quality standards
Reviewing welding quality documents
Training the welders on the job, making sure good practices are followed.
About You
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
Current recognised International Welding Inspector qualifications or CSWIP3.1 or equivalent.
An ability to liaise at all levels with the Client and Subcontractors and ability to work as part of a team.
Demonstrated written communication and IT skills (including Excel, Word).
Competent in reading and interpretation of complex or simple fabrication drawings, WPS and ITPs.
Knowledge and understanding of FCAW, GMAW, SAW, and GTAW welding processes
Experienced and familiar with ISO and AS/NZS weld symbols.
Previous experience with SMP fabrication or construction.
Knowledge of Australian standards relating to structural steel, pipe and welding.
Self-discipline and work ethic to operate efficiently within a team or autonomously.
Solid communication skills to work through issues and negotiate win/win outcomes.
