Job brief
The role as a Baker/Pastry Cook will be an important role to Baker’s Delight given the nature of our business. The main responsibility of the Baker/Pastry Cook will be to prepare and make the baked goods for the daily operations of the business and to maintain customer demand.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare, create and cook pastry
• Make slices and slab cakes, muffins & bread rolls by using various cooking techniques
• Assist with assembling pies
• Prepare and cook pie fillings
• Operate and monitor machinery, baking equipment, ovens, mixers and stocking pie warmer
• Ensure proper temperature control and timing for baking different types of products.
• Implement and maintain quality control standards for all baked products.
• Adhere to strict hygiene and sanitation practices to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements
• At least a relevant trades qualification or higher. Alternatively, at least two years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications.
• Minimum of 2 years full-time work experience as a Baker.
• Must be able to multitask.
• Must be self-motivated & able to show initiative.
• Must be reliable & able to work independently.
Salary - $75,000 - $80,000 plus super
