Family owned and operated Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation installation company requires reliable, punctual and experienced Sheet Metal Trade Workers.
The positions are full time, ongoing positions working 38 hours per week.
Salary of $88,000 per year plus 11% superannuation.
While our office is based in Ingleburn, the location of work sites are spread throughout Sydney, so offer great access to public transport.
About the Role:
Day to day tasks will vary, however you will be primarily responsible for the following tasks which include, but are not limited to:
- Measure and mark dimensions and reference lines on metal sheets.
- Fabricate or alter parts at construction sites, using shears, hammers, punches or drills.
- Use machine tools in installation, maintenance or repair.
- Install sheet metal assemblies in supportive framework.
- Fasten seams or joints by welding, bolting, riveting, or soldering.
- Assemble or disassemble manufactured products by hand.
- Manoeuvre large sheet metal parts to be installed and anchor the parts.
- Servicing, repairing, adjusting and testing machines, devices, mobbing parts, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of mechanical (not electronic) principles.
- Reading blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine job, material and equipment requirements.
- Monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events or the environment to detect or assess problems.
- Keeping up to date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.
Skills and Experience - Who we are looking for:
- Minimum Certificate IV in Fabrication Trade OR at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
- Valid White Card
- Excellent fabrication and welding skills
- Ability to interpret manufacturing and engineering drawings
- Good communication skills
- Be able to work well in a team with a can-do attitude and undertake any task as required
- Be reliable, honest and have a flexible approach
A valid white card is a must for this position as the majority of works will be completed on construction sites.
