Our site at Caboolture harvests and packs strawberries, raspberries and blackberries. We are family owned and supply berries to all the major retailers across the country, 365 days a year.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently looking for four hundred (400) Berry Farm Labourers for fruit picking, packing and general maintenance to join our team at our Applethorpe site. These positions are for a minimum of 6 months, fulltime commencing in February 2025. Previous experience is preferred, but not essential.
Working on a fruit farm during harvest season is a fun and exciting time. The roles will work safely in the field as part of a team to pick and pack ripe berries for local and interstate markets.
Assisting the production line in our large, purpose built, strawberry packing facility Planting, trellising and field maintenance of plants for ongoing, efficient production Adhering to safety procedures including wearing appropriate PPE (such as work boots, hats, sunscreen and sunglasses)
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for fruit pickers who are energetic and possess a positive attitude. Candidates do not necessarily need previous experience; you just need to be a keen learner and be physically fit. On top of being able to physically manage the role, we are looking for the following in our candidates:
Safety conscious attitude to work
Ability to work a 6-day rolling roster, available 7 days per week.
Physically fit and healthy
Able to relocate close to Caboolture or live locally in the area.
Candidates will receive a competitive pay and paid under the Horticultural award (MA000028) (commencing at Level 1). Piece rates are used -the faster you pick, the more earnings you potentially have. All working conditions are within the Horticulture Award to ensure your safety and enjoyment of the role.
You will receive your payslip fortnightly, via email showing you a description of your earnings, including your superannuation entitlements.
There is also possibility for further training and upskilling options for suitable candidates.
