The role
Reporting into the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Officer will work as part of a collaborative team to ensure the fortnightly payroll processing and reporting requirements are met in an accurate, timely manner and in line with the Firm policies, procedures, award and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Process the fortnightly payroll as part of a team
Able to interpret the Legal Services Award (LSA)
Process staff movements including new starters, departures and other payroll changes
Process bonuses and salary sacrifice requests, ensuring payments and deductions have been made in line with ATO calculation methods
Working understanding of termination calculations
Understanding of leave accruals
Understanding Long Service Leave and the different rules that apply to each State and / or Territory
Ensure payroll processes and procedures are documented and regularly reviewed to ensure the relevance
