An excellent opportunity is available for a Research Officer/Senior Research Officer (Statistical Bioinformatics) to join the Bioinformatics Division at Australia?s pre-eminent biomedical research institute.
About the Position The Phipson lab works on novel bioinformatics methods development coupled with collaborative analysis projects with scientists within and external to WEHI. The role of the Research Officer is to work on statistical bioinformatics methods development and analysis from data generated from cutting-edge technologies with a focus on single cell assays. Specific projects will involve single cell and spatial transcriptomics, coupled with innovative statistical analysis of exciting collaborative projects. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct bioinformatics analyses, to develop bioinformatics methodology as appropriate and to work closely with collaborators in a multi-disciplinary team.
