AWD Australia is seeking reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team!
Position: Full-Time, permanent
Location: Maddington WA 6109
Salary: $75000-$95000 a year dependant on abilities
Purpose
The purpose of the Driver is to transport equipment to and from the customer sites. The Driver is responsible for loading and unloading machines on and off the truck and ensuring equipment is tied down during transport in accordance with the company’s loading and unloading procedures.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Load and unload equipment on and off the truck in accordance with the company’s loading and unloading procedures;
2. Transport and manage the delivery of machinery and equipment in accordance with customer deadlines;
3. Capture and record all information in the company’s operating system as directed;
4. Maximise the use of the company truck to ensure profitable operation of that truck;
5. Greet customers on site when required in a courteous and friendly manner;
6. Operate the truck safely and adhere to all traffic conditions and road rules;
7. Report any machinery damage;
8. Maintain the company truck in a clean and safe working condition at all times,
9. Build and maintain a current knowledge of products and equipment;
10. Promote safety in the workplace at all times and report all injuries and hazards; and
11. Be presentable at all times wearing company attire as per the company’s uniform policy;
12. Other duties and responsibilities as directed by the company.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• High level tilt truck driving skills;
• High level knowledge of current road and traffic rules and local directions;
• Knowledge of plant and machinery products;
• Knowledge of loading and unloading procedures; and
• Ability to deliver machines and equipment efficiently and in line with customer deadlines.
Qualifications / Experience
• Minimum HR drivers licence essential;
• Minimum 3 years truck driving experience essential;
• Experience with tying downloads with straps and winches essential;
• Previous experience carting plant and machinery desirable;
• Previous experience with customers desirable.
