Dext

Dext company logo

Are you experienced in telesales or agency recruiter and looking for a new challenge in a different sector? Do you have the natural instinct of a hunter and the ability to sell anything, according to those who know you best? Are you fearless when it comes to making calls and reaching out to prospects directly? Do you persistently pursue your goals and never take no for an answer? If this sounds like you, we have the perfect role for you!

Who we are, what we do & why we do it?

Dext is the market leader in accounting & bookkeeper automation software, trusted by over 500,000 SMBs worldwide. Our suite of tools makes accountants more productive, profitable and powerful. In doing so we give them back the most precious commodity, time, which they can then use to add greater value to their clients.

Dext operates across Europe, North America and APAC, with an expanding SaaS product portfolio. It's a fabulous opportunity to make your mark and join our team in Australia to be part of one of the world's leading FinTech solution providers.

The role - what you’ll do as a SDR?

Here at Dext, we know the key to growth is in a high-performing sales team. As our Sales Development Representative you will find and screen potential customers, help build awareness of the Dext product offering and identify which product/s will provide the right solution for their business.

As you will be the first point of contact, you must have a strong understanding of the sales process, excel at researching leads, establish relationships quickly and help set our New Business Consultants up for success to close. Strong communication skills and the ability to consult about our Dext products will be key to your success.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Outbound prospecting and qualifications for new leads using both Marketing and self-generated contacts (60% of focus)
  • Manage inbound (organic and event) leads (40% of focus)
  • Identify prospect’s needs and qualify accordingly, suggesting appropriate solutions
  • For qualified leads, handover to the appropriate AM to manage the opportunity
  • Manage your sales pipeline and maintain ongoing cadence with Account Managers
  • Track and report on the progression of inbound and outbound leads for the Sales teams
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market

  • Minimum 1 years experience within a similar role
  • Maintains a consistent approach to lead qualification, in some instances over multiple attempts.
  • Works quickly and effectively in order to maximise calling time.
  • Demonstrated resilience and tenacity. When knocked back, quickly dusts themselves off and gets back to the task at hand.
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to listen to prospects and adapt accordingly
  • Ambition to progress career within the sales organisation
  • Self-motivated to keep activity high, even in challenging times
  • Enjoys healthy competition

Essentials

  • Understanding of subscription-based selling
  • Speaks with confidence when trying to ‘get-past-the-gatekeeper’
  • Love selling, and owning your numbers

These are our ideal requirements, but we hire on potential, not just on experience, and we know that some people are less likely to apply for a role if they don’t meet 100% of the criteria. At Dext we are committed to cultivating a diverse, inclusive and empowering culture, so please apply if you meet the majority of these competencies. You can read more about our Diversity & Inclusion commitments here.

What you will be a part of:

We are a highly ambitious, innovative, market-leading FinTech. We are a global, well-funded business but have the dexterity and pace of a scale-up. We are uncompromising in our desire to achieve our best, day-in day-out, and we have three clear values which guide everything we do:

Be Exceptional - We set high standards for ourselves. We aim to be exceptional at what we do.
