Large Insurance Company - Building & Assessing Division - Permanent Full Time Roles - North Brisbane Multiple Positions Available: - Desktop & On-road Home Assessors - Desktop Home Assessing Team Leader Your new company Our client is a major Home and Motor Insurer in Australia, that are rapidly growing and seeking Desktop and On-Road Home Assessors and a Desktop Team Leader to join their Building & Assessing department. Your new role Desktop and On-Road Home Assessor roles: The responsibilities of these roles encompass assessing and reporting on damages, collaborating with and providing direction to our panel of home repairers, and the internal claims team to discuss and agree on the most effective repair methods. The focus of the role is to ensure that customer service levels are consistently maintained at the highest standards. Duties include;
Damage Assessment - Attend client's properties in person or virtually, to assess building damages for a variety of insured events. Accurately report on building damage and findings through completing comprehensive and detailed reports.
Repair Methods - Determine and advise on the best method for repairing insurable damage.
Cost Validation - Assess the Scope of Works provided by a builder, ensuring that it accurately outlines the project requirements, timeline and specifications.

Desktop Home Assessing Team Leader role: You will play a pivotal role in guiding and overseeing the Desktop Home Assessing Team, who are responsible for virtual assessments of impacted properties, cost validation, ensuring high scope accuracy and end-to-end management of claims assigned to them. You will be responsible for organising ongoing training and coaching for the team, and ensuring that the Desktop Home Assessors are consistent and effective in their approach to virtual assessments and validation of Scope of Works. What you'll need to succeed
Home Assessor roles:
Proven Building Industry/Trades/Home Assessing or similar Property Claims related experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Team Leader role:
Minimum 2 years' experience in Home Assessing or the Building Industry
Demonstrated people management and leadership experience
Insurance experience is preferred but not essential
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to effectively develop and manage business relationships with multiple stakeholders
