About the Position:
Chicco Palms is looking for an experienced and passionate Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in delivering high-quality Italian cuisine while ensuring an outstanding dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of Italian cooking techniques, strong culinary skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards in food preparation and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare a variety of Italian dishes, including pasta, pizza, meats, and desserts, while ensuring the highest quality and flavor.
Adapt meals to accommodate specific dietary requirements, offering a diverse and inclusive menu.
Assist in planning and executing regular menu items as well as dishes for special events.
Maintain strict standards of cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to optimize cooking processes and ingredient utilization.
Requirements:
Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply.
Minimum qualification of a Diploma or Certificate IV in Kitchen Management/Commercial Cookery.
At least two years of proven experience as a Chef, with a strong focus on Italian cuisine preferred.
Excellent knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, kitchen equipment, and procedures.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a dedication to delivering an exceptional dining experience.
