SUMMARY:
Cosy Cab Caravans, established in 2010, has rapidly grown from producing a few caravans a month to building over 350 caravans annually. Renowned for their quality and craftsmanship, Cosy Cab delivers customisable Australian-made caravans designed to meet individual needs. The company prides itself on superior construction standards, customer satisfaction, and long-lasting support. Currently, Cosy Cab is seeking a skilled Cabinet Maker to join their team and contribute to their continued success in delivering top-tier products.
The typical job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Construct and assemble cabinet components as per specified measurements.
- Ensure all pieces fit precisely according to the foreman’s instructions and client requirements.
- Check and confirm calculations for accurate door, hinge, and panel alignment.
- Clean and repair all equipment, maintaining them in optimal condition.
- Install necessary hardware such as hinges, handles, and other fittings.
- Maintain safe work practices by cleaning work areas and disposing of old materials.
- Operate saws and drills to cut and shape materials for cabinet assembly.
- Use power tools to assemble furniture and cabinetry components.
- Apply protective finishes and coatings to cabinetry and furniture.
- Work from technical drawings and specifications to build cabinets and fittings.
- Assemble cabinet sections to create complete units ready for installation.
- Install cabinetry and furniture in caravans with precision and attention to detail.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality control measures.
- Order replacement materials and tools when required to maintain efficient operations.
- Refurbish and repair existing furniture as part of the production process.
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for the role:
- Certificate III in Cabinet Making and at least two years of Australian experience.
- Proven experience in constructing and assembling cabinetry components with precision.
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings and specifications.
- Skilled in the use of a variety of tools, including panel saws, drills, and sanding equipment.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate alignment of doors, hinges, and fittings.
- Familiarity with safe working practices and maintaining a clean and efficient workspace.
- Capability to install cabinetry and fittings with a high level of craftsmanship.
