Blue Flame Wellness is an established and reputable psychology practice located in Taringa (inner West), Brisbane. We are a passionate and fun-loving team and we work hard to support our community. This leads to us finding the work that we do to be fulfilling and meaningful. We’ve nurtured a strong referral base and as such, we’ve created a thriving practice. We’re looking to add a new team member and so we’re inviting AHPRA-registered psychologists to apply for this post.


SUPPORT FOR THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:

Our therapy rooms are aesthetically decorated to provide you with a comfortable workspace and to provide your clients with a space they can relax and feel safe within. Our thoughtfully chosen admin team are well trained to manage your administration needs, bookings, and billings. To make your own client-administration efficient, we provide high-speed internet access. We will also create a specific marketing plan to our referral network, based on your clinical expertise and skills. We’re passionate about staying on the front foot, and so we work hard to regularly update and improve our policies. This is to ensure we can support you to make your work more satisfying, interesting, and enjoyable.

Regular down time and connection as a team are a big part of our culture. In addition to regular check ins, we hold monthly peer supervision meetings to foster your professional development and growth.


ABOUT THE POSITION / CORE REQUIREMENTS

The successful clinician/s will need to meet the following requirements:
- The clinician will need to be trained in applying a broad range of evidence-based treatment approaches.
- Clinician/s will need to provide treatment to individuals, couples and/or families.
- Skilful training and application in a variety of psychological assessment measures including assessments for ADHD & ASD client base OR training and experience to provide therapy for Couples Counselling and Family Counselling.
- Effective, timeous and efficient administration skills to ensure high standards of record keeping and reporting.
- The Clinician/s will be responsible to keep informed and current with all requirements and legislation of the Australian government pertaining to practicing psychology (including, but not limited to, CPD points, Supervision, Registrations and Medicare requirements).
- The Clinician/s will need to be able to work a 38hr week which may include one late evening shift and alternate Saturdays (half day required only).
- The Clinician/s will need to balance working independently, while also working within our team environment. All members of the practice are required to attend our Practice Meeting once a month.
- The Clinician/s will be asked to work within the marketing plan developed for them and the practice.


 
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA AND QUALIFICATIONS

To be successful in this position, candidates must have the following:
- Relevant qualifications for registration with AHPRA as a General, Counselling, Clinical, Educational or Neuro psychologist. 
- Minimum of 4 years experience as a fully registered psychologist.
- Eligibility for a Medicare Provider Number.
-Competent and experienced in performing assessments and follow up reporting for ADHD and ASD clients.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to clients and colleagues.
- Ability to relate well to a range of people, including young people, carers and other professional stakeholders.
-Reliability, punctuality and organisation-skills are very important to us as we believe this creates sustainability, trust and stability in the therapeutic relationship with our clients.
- Emotionally mature and resilient.

-A tailored marketing plan for the successful candidate is developed to increase awareness and referrals from the health service community in our area.
-Our administrative staff are chosen carefully for their maturity and skill set. They are then further trained to manage all administration, bookings and billings including Medicare and Health Funds. We are highly competitive in the current market for the amount of support we provide our clinicians. This enables our clinicians to concentrate on the therapy process and reporting requirements, while our admin staff aim to do the rest.

-Fully furnished rooms in a modern and relaxing style. All our rooms are cleaned regularly.
-We provide high-speed internet, stationery and printing.
